A boutique resort specialising in personal service, the resort offers guests a choice of 18 bungalows, all with large balconies, overlooking the beach and ocean. All bungalows have private bathrooms, refrigerators, electric fans and tea and coffee making facilities.

There is an open air restaurant, the “Big Nakamal”, located right on the beach with panoramic bay views. At Aore Resort you can also relax around the pool or explore the coastline in a kayak, or the island on a mountain bike.

Snorkel right outside your bungalow with clear blue water, coral and abundant fish life. Scuba Diving in Santo is world class. The famous World War II dive wreck of the luxury liner turned troop carrier, ”SS President Coolidge” and “Million Dollar Point” are a 20 minute boat trip from the resort.

Aore Resort offers guests a choice of 18 bungalows ranging from Studio Beachfront Bungalows, Studio Gardenview Bungalow, 1 Bedroom Beachfront Bungalows and 1 Bedroom Garden View Bungalows. The Studio Beachfront and 1 Bedroom Beachfront Bungalows are right on the waters edge overlooking the channel to Espiritu Santo.

Dining

The large traditional Melanesian Nakamal (restaurant) is the heart of the resort, set on the waterfront with views across the channel to Santo. Enjoy a cocktail or meal on the balcony. At night the lights reflect across the water creating a special ambiance, unique to Aore Island Resort.

Activities

Diving: Scuba diving is world class in Santo. Diving from Aore Island Resort gives you the option to vary your diving according to your interests and experience. From the famous World War II wreck, the SS President Coolidge and Million Dollar Point to colourful reefs and coral walls.

There is more than diving in Santo. From the Resort you can explore the jungles, plantations and pristine beaches found on Aore Island. Or, take a tour to Blue Holes, Custom Villages, World War II Historical sites and conservation areas.

For the adventurous, go trekking and caving; an experience of a lifetime. Snorkel in pristine conditions on coral reefs found in the shallow waters off the beach. Step out of your bungalow and into our natural fishpond. Explore the coastline in a kayak or the surrounding coconut plantation on a mountain bike.
