South Seas Adventure Cruise

South Seas Adventure Cruise, Vanautu tour

Departing on your Vanuatu tour you will travel through town and up over Klem's Hill with breath taking views of Mele Bay and Vila Harbour, along the jungle clad road to Havannah Harbour on the sheltered and rain shadow side of the Efate Island.

We then board the 23 meter yacht "Coongoola" for a leisurely sail across the protected waters of Havannah Harbour - this vessel was the radio relay vessel for the Sydney to Hobart yacht race and previous world cruiser to Africa and the Greek Islands.

With morning tea and coffee on the way, we have a short visit to a turtle conservation project on a nearby island, then sail across the calm waters of the Harbour through the passage to Moso Island and to beautiful 'Sun & Moon" Bay.

We go ashore and are greeted by the gleaming fine white sand of "Hapi Tok" beach with the clear blue waters of the lagoon contrasting upon the emerald green of the islands tropical vegetation. A choice of snorkeling on the reef with our tour guides, maybe swimming off the shore or just relaxing in the shade. We then enjoy a beach BBQ of delicious prime meat sizzled to your liking by Coongoola's Island chef, accompanied with lots of fresh salads. After lunch maybe a siesta, a refreshing swim with the tame fish of the beach or snorkeling again to another reef nearby and maybe depending on tide, visit an ancient cave.

Back onboard, and the sails go up, afternoon tea is served and we are off to the mainland again.

We down sail in the Harbour and under power, usually meet our Dolphin friends on the way back to the mainland where the bus is waiting to take you back to your hotel.

"Coongoola" day cruise is a must for any Vanuatu holiday.
