Poppy's on the Lagoon

Poppy's on the Lagoon is set on the shores of Erakor Lagoon and purpose designed to take advantage of the cooling breeze of the S.E trade winds. The Lagoon provides safe waters for swimming and water sports, and the gardens have been designed to show off a wide range of tropical plants. It is hard to believe when relaxing at Poppy's on the Lagoon that it is only a 15 minute walk (or a 2 min bus or taxi ride) to Port Vila's charming town centre, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops.

Accommodation

Lagoon View Studio: Individual studio bungalows that are fully screened and feature extensive use of tropical timbers. Bedding is 1 Queen bed OR 2 Single beds. Room capacity 2 Adults or 1 Adult & 1 Child.

Garden View Bungalow: These bungalows with their high wooden ceilings have their own kitchen, dining and sitting areas with a private patio looking onto mature tropical gardens and a pool area. Separate bedroom and lounge/kitchen areas. Located next to Adults pool. Does not accommodate children. Bedding is 1 Queen bed or 2 Single beds. Room capacity 2 Adults.

1 Bedroom Lagoon View Suite: These suites have spacious living and dining, kitchen, bathroom and private balconies overlooking a pool and the lagoon. This is a 2 bedroom suite with the second bedroom locked off. Lounge/ dining room, kitchen and separate bedroom. Bedding is 1 Queen bed or 2 Singles. Room capacity 2 Adults or 1 Adult & 1 Child.

2 Bedroom Lagoon View Suite: These suites have spacious living and dining, kitchen, bathroom and private balconies overlooking a pool and the lagoon. Lounge/dining room, kitchen and two bedrooms with interconnecting bathroom. Bedding is 2 Queen beds or 1 Queen and 2 Single beds. Room capacity 4 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children.

Beachfront Spa Bungalow: These romantic beachfront bungalows have been designed for couples who want to get away from it all. They have a private spa looking over the beach, kitchen & dining facilities, leather sofa etc. Located on the beach, private spa has beach and lagoon views. Does not accommodate children. Bedding is 1 Queen bed. Room capacity 2 Adults.

3 Bedroom Lagoon View Cottage: These cottages are full sized houses. They have one bedroom downstairs with ensuite and two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. They feature a large kitchen, dining and lounge room with raked timber ceilings. The cottage is lagoon view, surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden and a private bure which is separate from the cottage and offers great views of the lagoon and the resort. Bedding is 2 Queen beds & 2 Single beds. Room capacity 6 Adults or 2 Adults & 4 Children.

3 Bedroom Beachfront Cottage: These cottages are full sized houses. They have three bedrooms, two bathrooms and large kitchen, dining and lounge with raked timber ceilings. Huge verandas are positioned right on the beach overlooking lagoon. Lounge/dining room, kitchen, one bedroom downstairs with ensuite and two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. Bedding is 2 Queen beds and 2 Single beds. Room capacity 6 Adults or 2 Adults & 4 Children.

Dining

Poppy's on the Lagoon does not have its own restaurant, however it does have Banana Leaf Cafe which is a causal and convenient pool-side bar and grill. The weekly poolside Island BBQ is a must! There are also a large number of restaurants and cafes within walking distance or a 2 minute taxi ride.

Facilities

Welcome Pack - tea, coffee and biscuits awaiting guests on arrival Poppy's Shop - beer, wine, soft drinks, ice creams, souvenirs etc available at the office. Laundry Service - dirty laundry whisked away and returned washed and folded. Babysitting Service - to allow parents to enjoy a night out or go on a tour on their own. Masseuse Service - just bliss!

Activities

BBQ Facilities- under cover & lit for night time or wet weather BBQs Salt water lagoon with private white sand beach. Swimming pools- a family pool with a shallow area for children and an adult pool. Water sports- traditional outrigger canoe & sea kayaks. Entertainment- in-house movies and a wide selection of videos, books, magazines, and games. Petanque (French grass boules)

Children: Poppy's on the Lagoon offers the perfect solution for families on holiday in Vanuatu. This lagoon side resort provides a safe yet fun environment for families to interact, and the spacious self contained accommodation allows for all the convenience of a "home away from home". As well as the lagoon and the family swimming pool to keep the children entertained, there are also a wide selection of children's videos and a climbing gym for the smaller children. Whilst there is not a kids club, the staff love the opportunity to baby sit - so parents can get away for a tour or dinner on their own if they wish.
