Vanuatu's premier boutique resort, Iririki Island Resorts & Spa is situated on the site of the former British High Commissioner's residence on a private 69 acre island. It's only three minutes across the harbour from Port Vila by complimentary ferry 24 hours a day. This Vanuatu accommodation has all the comforts of an international resort in a private setting overlooking the lush gardens or crystal clear waters. Iririki Resort's no children policy enhances the romantic ambience.

Accommodation

Iririki Island Resorts & Spa offers a selection of accommodation. The original Iririki Resort provides 69 tastefully decorated individual fares (bungalows) that are elevated above the ground, in three different categories: Waterfront, Harbourview and Gardenview.

The new Snorkelers Cove precinct on the island provides 61 spacious and modern deluxe rooms and penthouses with pool or ocean views (see Iririki Snorkelers Cove webpage for details). Children under 12 years of age are not accommodated at Iririki Resort, however they are accepted at Iririki Snorkelers Cove.

Gardenview Fares: Features rich, tropical views of one of Vanuatu's largest rainforests. Finished with tropical style furnishings, warm timber flooring and natural light. Bedding is 1 King Bed, 1 King Bed and 1 Single Bed or 3 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults.

Harbourview Fares: Views of a tropical island harbour. Finished with tropical style furnishings, warm timber flooring and natural light. Bedding is 1 Four Poster Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.

Waterfront Fares: Unobstructed views of the ocean and harbour with balcony. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.

Dining

Micheners's Restaurant: Premier restaurant with sophisticated blend of French and Island cuisines in the perfect romantic setting with views across the island towards Port Vila township. The a la carte menu specializes in seafood and local products including the famous Santo beef. This restaurant is not accessible to guests 12 years and under. Open for breakfast and dinner daily.

Bali Hai Cafe & Bar: Located next to Michener's Restaurant, this cafe/bar is open all day long for light meals and cocktails. Tables surround the bar and the infinity swimming pool offering great views of Port Vila harbour with a relaxed atmosphere. Bali Hai Cafe / Bar & Pool are for adults only (no guests under 12 years). Open from 9.00am till late daily.

The Snorkelers Cove precinct at the resort also features a number of dining options, these include:

Watermark Restaurant: Located on Iririki's beachfront looking directly across the ocean. The menu offers tasty platters and grill plates with a Pacific/Asia influence. The restaurant has a large outdoor deck for enjoying a glass of wine or the locally brewed 'Tusker' beer on tap while soaking up the views. Watermark also serves breakfast and lunch each day and welcomes guests of all ages to dine here. Dinner available from 6.00pm until late each night.

Sunset Bar & Cafe: Is a great place for the whole family offering a selection of light meals, a kids menu and of course, decadent cocktails poolside. This is also the home of the Sunday BBQ buffet lunch with live music and a relaxed atmosphere. The bar serves tropical cocktails, draught beer and wine throughout the day and is located next to the lagoon pool at the leisure precinct for causal dining throughout the day. Sunset Bar & Cafe welcomes guests of all ages. Open from 11.00am til dusk.

Swim Up Bar: There is a swim up bar at the lagoon pool serving drinks and cocktails from 11.00am til dusk each day.

Iririki Resort
The main swimming pool is adjacent to the Bali Hai Bar & Cafe, with extensive views over Port Vila. A large freshwater outdoor pool with horizon-level decking, boasting expansive views across the harbour and ocean with private alcove dining features. Pool towels are available for guests. Relax and read a book, whilst sipping a refreshing cocktail or enjoying a delicious snack. Guests can also enjoy the private 130 metre beach with thatched sun shelters and sun lounges.

Snorkelers Cove Resort
Features a number of great facilities including a freshwater and swim up bar. There are also 2 tennis courts, a gymnasium, games room and medical centre. Children are catered for at this resort although are not permitted at the Iririki Resort area. All guests can enjoy the private 130 metre beach with thatched sun shelters and sun lounges.

Diving

Vanuatu is famous for its reef and wreck dives. Nautilus Dive and Scuba have introductory dives for novices, including a pool session before being taken on a shallow reef dive accompanied by an instructor. More experienced divers can enjoy reef and wreck dives in the protected waters of Port Vila Harbour.
